U.S. records 3,200+ deaths in 24 hours

The United States recorded more than 3,200 deaths in the last 24 hours, making it the highest number of deaths recorded in a single day anywhere around the world. The total number of cases reported in the same period was a staggering 226,000.

This has increased the total number of cases in the US to 15.8 million and pushed the death toll over 295,000.

Hospitals around the country are running out of beds in Intensive Care Units. Health care workers are completely exhausted and are reaching the breaking point.

The Food and Drug Administration is due to meet today to decide on the administration of the two-dose Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine, in the face of a growing number of cases. Britain has already commenced administrating the vaccine and Canada too decide yesterday with going ahead with issuing the vaccine to the public.
