Covid-19 restrictions imposed in Australia’s largest city, Sydney, will remain in place during the Christmas holidays, in order to prevent another outbreak. The residents can have up to 10 adult guests in their homes and small children can be included over that limit, from 24 to 26 December.
There were only eight cases in Sydney on Wednesday, which gave hopes for the residents that there might be some relaxation of visitor rules during Christmas.
The city has tested more than 124,000 residents in the past three days. In the recent days, Australia did not report a single locally-transmitted case, which gave some optimism for the locals that there might be a possibility of controlling the rapidly spreading virus.
